What a newborn care specialist does

A specialist brings structure to the earliest weeks.

Newborn care is part hands-on support, part education, and part rhythm-building. The goal is not to take over your home, but to help it feel steadier.

01

Observe

Learn your baby, your household rhythm, and what parents most need help with.

02

Care

Handle newborn care through the night with attentive, developmentally appropriate support.

03

Guide

Offer clear recommendations around sleep, feeding, soothing, and routines.

04

Adjust

Refine the plan as your baby changes so support remains useful and realistic.

About Sulma

Personal support from someone who understands the first weeks.

As a mother, Sulma knows how hard recovery after birth can be, especially when support is limited.

Hi,

As a mom I know how hard is to recover after birth. I had my first baby when I was 18 years old, and it was the hardest process for me with little support.

I was very lucky to have my mother-in-law teach me how to care for my young daughters. Now I am so happy I can help other parents and make those nights go smoothly so mom can rest.

I can help families gently sleep train their infants. I also help first-time moms with lactation advice and support.

Philosophy

Gentle, baby-led sleep support with a clear plan.

Sulma uses a gentle Ferber-informed approach, while adapting the method to each baby’s age, temperament, and each family’s preferences.

Ferber Method

The Ferber method, or Ferberization, is a technique invented by Richard Ferber to help solve infant sleep problems by teaching children to self-soothe with timed check-ins.

Sulma’s approach

My methods are very gentle. They do not involve crying. I make sure babies feel safe and trust me, and they naturally adjust to the new schedule. I check in every 5 minutes if the baby is unsettled. All babies are different, so I evaluate what is happening with your baby, take your baby’s age into consideration, listen to your preferences, and then make suggestions so you can decide what method you would like to use.
